Dock Refurbishing Program
The Marine operations portfolio has been a busy one this year, we have been very involved with the re-building of the collapsed south wall and are so happy to see the progress, my understanding from the contractor is that this will be a 100 year fix. I don’t believe any of our current membership will have to worry for at least 100 years into the future.
We will be conducting resurfacing work on the balance of “D” dock and the east wing of “A” dock in the near future; we try to conduct this work when it is of least inconvenience to our members. The work will be organized so that small sections are disrupted at any one time, please contact myself or Don Williams dock committee chair if you have any concerns about the stability or safety of your dock.
At this time we are also looking at the floating docks used by our sailing school and dry sail members, I will be communicating with the committee chairs to establish priorities and determine the best possible solution for all concerned.
A big thank-you to Chad Humphreys for reorganising the hardware at our pump out facility I hear nothing but good reports about this improvement.
Wishing you great fall sailing.
