Gerry Kedey Memorial — Defibrillator Station
September 26th, 2010 @ 03:18 PM EST by admin

by Harvey Cracknell, Patriarch, NYC ¼ Ton (level) Fleet

The NYC ¼ Ton Fleet is purchasing a life-saving Defibrlllator Station to donate to the NYC in memory of the late Gerry Kedey, a past Senior Life NYC Member. Gerry was one of the original organizers of both the NYC ¼ Ton Fleet and the Toronto-based ¼ Ton Association back in 1972. Over the years he successfully competed in these Fleets aboard ‘Carandy II’ as well as making significant contributions to both ¼ Ton Racing and to the NYC.

In addition to the ¼ Ton Fleet, Gerry competed in the NYC Shark Fleet. This Fleet also plans to contribute to this initiative.

We ask all members who wish to remember Gerry in a significant fashion, to do so with a donation towards this potentially life-saving Memorial.

Please send your donation cheque to either Walter Kowalchuk in the NYC Office or to Harvey Cracknell (55 O’Connor Crescent, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 7P8). Please endorse your cheque to the NYC (Gerry Kedey Memorial).

Thank you.
