Looking for Vice Commodores
June 27th, 2015 @ 02:16 PM EST by Newsletter Author

The next AGM will be exciting as a number of Vice Commodore positions will need to be filled.

The National Yacht Club’s Nominating Committee is seeking volunteers to take part in the management and operation of the NYC while sitting on the Board of Directors. The Committee invites you to let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in standing for election or know of anyone within the membership who should be considered for one of the Vice Commodore positions. We are looking for new people with fresh ideas and a strong commitment to our club.

Any member in good standing can run for election for any Vice Commodore position, even if there is currently someone in the position.  At this time, we are seeking nominations for the following positions that will be vacant at the end of this year:

·        Vice Commodore, Marine Operations

·        Vice Commodore, Finance

·        Vice Commodore, Land Operations.

Those members interested and able to commit to a minimum one-year term, should contact me, or any member of the Nominating Committee on or before Friday, August 7, 2015.

The Nominating Committee represents various classes of membership. They are Andrew James, Ann Mitchell, Jeff Guttman, John Pratt, Bruce Spragg, John Kitchener, Rob Burns and Wendy Fischer.

Thank you for your help, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Wendy Fischer, Chair, Nominating Committee
