NYC Workshop Abolishes Fee
April 10th, 2012 @ 09:58 AM EST by admin

Dear NYC Members:

We had a very productive meeting on Feb 16th 2012.  We have a new chair and two new members on the workshop committee.  Keith Morley has agreed to take on the responsibility of Chair.  Keith and his committee have some very interesting ideas on how to solve many of the problems we discussed at the meeting and with notes supplied by our members.  If any of you have an interest in serving on this committee to assist Keith, Robert and Richard please get in touch with Keith.

Most importantly, we will be looking at abolishing the fee for the workshop key and including the work shop as a regular NYC facility such as the cranes and pump out.  We will of course have to insure that only trained people can use equipment such as the table saw, SAFETY is a major concern.

We will also be addressing cleaning of the shop, removing items that seem to be in storage (since the workshop is not a storage locker) and the regular removal of trash.

This was presented at the recent board meeting and approved unanimously. All current fees paid will be credited to member accounts.

Democracy prevails at NYC: we listen to our members.
