The following is an extract from Don Finkle's Performance Newsletter: Whether it’s his Beneteau 36.7 or Melges 24, Richard just keeps on winning. Nine teams competed at the Melges 24 Canadian Championship, hosted by Windsor Yacht Club on July 10-12 in Windsor, Ontario. Racing was held on Lake St. Clair, with a steady 6 knot wind on Friday and Saturday allowing five races to be completed, but no wind on Sunday to allow for racing. Richard Reid’s Zingara (CAN) and his crew of Greg Douglas, Billy Gooderham and Scott Nixon finished the regatta with one point lead over Rush owned by Mike Gozzard (CAN). Rounding out the top three was KC Shannon on Shaka (USA). Shaka also was the top Corinthian boat in the regatta.  More information is available by clicking on this link: Congratulate Richard and his team when you next see them at the NYC.

Richard Reid’s (holding the trophy) team performances enhance the NYC’s reputation for racing and that is a magnet for some new members.
