Sailing on the coast of British Columbia is unparalleled. Experienced sailors will learn how to really sail once they have been exposed to the waters of the Strait of Georgia off mainland BC and beyond. It is all there - big tides, currents and water - and let's not forget about the pretty little coves, bays and anchorages that are found among the islands, inlets and mountains.
Sailing in BC encompasses the wild and woolly of nature as well as the civilized and urbane; from bracing winds to a bagpipe serenade from the hillside while at anchor.
Kurt Wege is an experienced sailor and instructor, that spends as much time as he can sailing the West Coast. He will give you an overview of what to expect in the 3 main cruising grounds of coastal British Columbia - namely the Southern Gulf Islands, the Sunshine Coast and Desolation Sound.
The presentation will begin at 7:30 pm, but feel free to arrive early to order dinner beforehand. Reservations are highly recommended, so email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 416-260-8686 ext 23 to save your seat!
