The NYC's New Workboat
January 27th, 2013 @ 10:29 PM EST by admin

Following the Membership’s support at the AGM to the Board’s recommendation that the old workboat be retired from active use at NYC, the Mooring Committee team continued its quest for a replacement vessel. After a full review of the options, we selected a Stanley Pulsecraft with several customizations. We have been working closely with both dealer and the builder to finalize the order. To do this we had to balance off all of the possible features that were possible with the maximum allowed cost.

This photo is of the same model with a different console configuration. NYC’s boat will have a single starboard pedestal.

And today, the order was placed with an early April delivery that comes in just the approved total cost.

Following its arrival at NYC, operator training sessions will be completed for all drivers to provide experience in how it performs, and to communicate the proper use of the vessel and the location of all safety equipment.

More to come!
