Volunteers: some do more than others
July 30th, 2012 @ 10:56 AM EST by admin

For many years the National Yacht Club hasthrived on the dedicated efforts of volunteers.

I am blessed with some remarkable volunteers under my portfolio of Vice Commodore Marine Operations. Committee’s such as Launch and Haul-out, Moorings and Divers, Dock committee, Safety, Environment, Cranes, Workshop, and Pump-out.

All of these volunteers contribute hugely to the successful operation of our yacht club and when they do a good job, it makes me look good. So thank you very much!!

In this article I want to thank Don Weston and his mooring volunteers, they cleared of a huge amount of scrap steel and other “junk” that has been accumulating on the steel island for years.

Please see the attached photos and also please thank them; perhaps even buy them a glass of wine.

Cheers, guys. We appreciate you.
