A happy New Year to all. Our boats have been resting for a while and we still have to deal with long nights and cold days for some time. The good news is the shortest day of the year is behind us and with the boat show, things are starting to look better. While boating activities are curtailed (unless you head south), indoor activities at NYC have been in full swing! I hope you were able to make it to some of our December parties. We have more events planned, like our popular Sailors Nights, to keep you warm and engaged with fellow members. Please visit http://www.thenyc.com/events.php for more details.
I hope you have had a chance to try out our new menu. During the off-season the dining room is usually less busy and on somewhat restricted hours. As such we offer a smaller menu. We still try to include items that will entice you to come down to your club on a cold day or evening. Your food and beverage committee and our chef Eric have produced a menu that I hope you will enjoy. We took input from our members, reviewed our sales reports and came up with a menu we hope will please. The roast beef dip and the ribs are excellent and proving popular!
Our new menu has been in effect since haulout. If you have not already, I encourage you to come down and give it a try. Please let us know what you think by filling in a comment card or 2, or emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org and it’s never too early to make suggestions for our Spring and Summer menu.
Remember Chef Eric’s “Feature Fridays” offering a special selection every Friday.
