On the waterfront in Downtown Toronto since 1894 From novice to old salt, there is a place for everyone at National Yacht Club.

420 Club

If you have dinghy sailing experience and are interested in fun and active sailing in Toronto, this is the program for you!

No Boat? No Problem!

420 Club members sail on NYC's fleet of C420 dinghies. These 14-foot boats are stable and easy to use, making them ideal for sailing lessons and casual summer sailing. Our 15 boat fleet is well maintained and ready to help you get out on the water.

New Members Welcome!

You may sign-up for the 420 Club as an individual or with the intention of sailing regularly with a partner (both participants require individual registrations). Our only requirements is that you have your CANSail level 2 certification (or equivalent experience) and you are over the age of 16.

420 Racing Club

On Thursday evenings from the end of May to Mid-September, members of the 420 Racing Club participate in short course recreational racing. Depending on conditions, members race in multiple 15-20 minute races each evening. The season culminates in a fun final regatta with the winners being awarded trophies for best team, top male and female sailors and best rookie. Find out more about the 420 Racing Club here.

420 Social Club

New in 2018, the 420 Social Club is intended to give people a chance to get people out on the water in a casual, non-competitive environment. With a safety boat on-water at all times, members can work on improving sailing skills or just enjoy "messing about in boats". The 420 Social Sailing Club will run on Tuesday evenings from July to the end of August. Find out more about the 420 Social Club here.

Whether you just want to have some fun sailing around marks, or you want to hone your boat-on-boat skills, the 420 Club offers an environment for learning and racing.
