Get Out on the Water

Don't own a boat, but still want to feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face? National Yacht Club has several programs to help you get out on the water!

Our highly popular Crew Banks help members without boats meet and network with our boat-owning members to get out racing or cruising, with or without experience. If you're interested in smaller boat sailing, our 420 Club brings dinghy sailors together for fun and competitive boating.

Being in the city and close to downtown means that sailors at the National can enjoy quick evening cruises or after work racing. There is no long drive; no ferry, and no launch to catch.

Weeknight Cruising

Our Weeknight Cruising Program operates every Monday and Thursday, not including Holiday Mondays. Serious racers, casual cruisers, complete novices: all are welcome to participate in this program, included in the cost of membership. Sailboats of all shapes and sizes participate, so you have the chance to find the boat and crew that’s right for you. If you're interested in going on for a casual evening sail look no further! To register for weeknight cruises participants must sign up through the Club office.

Racing Crew Bank

The NYC Racing Crew Bank is an excellent and easy way to gain experience or find a regular crew to sail with. Using either our manual sign-up sheet or NYC's one-of-a-kind Online Crew Bank you can sign up to participate in Club racing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday race nights and for occasional regattas.

420 Club

If you have dinghy sailing experience and are interested in fun and active sailing in Toronto, this is the program for you! 420 Club members sail on NYC's fleet of C420 dinghies for both casual and competitive sailing. Enjoy Tuesday night social sailing or Thursday night racing.
